My day start at 10am with tour of the clinic and hospitals and lunch with residents followed with four interviews. The first one was with the Director of Sports medicine fellow ship. He start interview with asking me what have I been doing since graduation, Then he followed with 10 questions that you have asked me. The wording he used was exactly same as your questions and the questions in the “secret of interview” that you send me. It lasted 40 min. He asked “why FP”, “why OU”, “what are your interest and hobbies”, “ what type of Pt you have problem dealing with”, “Tell me one meaningful experience you had that help you to select your career”, “How do you see your self 5 years and 10 years from know”. Also he ask specifically why did I select the School of Med at Spartan, did I Consider other programs. Then I had interviewed with the “Program Coordinator “ which was about the administration and benefits and that last 20min. She also told me that they only interview 3 applicants per each available position. Then I had interview with 2 Chief residents, one of them was the same person that give us morning tour. They ask about my clinical experience and what was a typical day on the each clinical rotation I did. The interview was very informal we were laughing and they (both chief Residents) share their experience as well. It was about 30-45 min. The last person I had interview with was the director of research program. And he was very relax casual, introduced him self with the first name only. He start the interview with “do you have any question for me”, and of curse I did. This interview lasted 45 min. he told me about research programs his fishing experience and life in Okc. At end of each interview before giving me their business card, they wrote their pager number and home phone number. The interviews ended at 4:30pm. At the same night one of the senior resident invite me out to a dinner and lasted up to 8:30pm. With out any Question you Mock interview was extremely consistent with what I experience at the OU. You advise worth millions. Per your advice I had personal experiences for each question they asked. Prior to interview I had my questions (2 for each interviewer) ready and that help my a lot.
